To provide a method for producing a catalyst for synthesizing unsaturated carboxylic acid, which catalyst has high catalytic performance when used in synthesis of unsaturated carboxylic acid, to provide the catalyst for synthesizing unsaturated carboxylic acid, which is obtained by this producing method and to provide a method for producing unsaturated carboxylic acid by using the catalyst for synthesizing unsaturated carboxylic acid.
The method for producing the catalyst for synthesizing unsaturated carboxylic acid, which is used when unsaturated carboxylic acid is synthesized by vapor phase catalytic oxidation of unsaturated aldehyde by using molecular oxygen, comprises the steps of: raising the temperature of a firing furnace, into which a precursor of the catalyst for synthesizing unsaturated carboxylic acid is introduced, to the temperature TC of 240 to 300C; keeping the temperature of the firing furnace within (T-20)C to TC for 4-24 hours; and raising the temperature of the firing furnace to the maximum temperature of 300-700C to fire the precursor.
