Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst system for production of an ethylenic polymer that inhibits the generation of fouling so as to produce an ethylenic polymer with good efficiency when producing an ethylenic polymer, and also can produce an ethylenic polymer (particle) having excellent powder morphology.SOLUTION: The method for producing a catalyst system for the production of an ethylenic polymer comprises: a metallocene-based catalyst produced from (A) a transition metal compound having a specific structure, (B) an organic-modified clay modified with an aliphatic salt having a specific structure, and (C) an organoaluminum compound; and (D) a nonionic surfactant. The method for producing an ethylenic polymer comprises using the catalyst system.
