Title:
CATALYTIC ALKYLATION PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2551901
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform catalytic alkylation of a chlorosilane, which process is useful for synthesis of pharmaceuticals, in a shorter reaction time and with a high yield of the alkylated product by allowing the chlorosilane to react with an alkyllithium compound in a hydrocarbon solvent, in the presence of a specific catalyst compound.
CONSTITUTION: This process for catalytically alkylating a chlorosilane comprises allowing the chlorosilane to react with an alkyllithium compound represented by the formula, RLi (R is a 1-20C alkyl group) in a hydrocarbon solvent, in the presence of a catalyst compound selected from: (A) compounds represented by formula I (wherein: each of R, R1 and R2 is H, 1-13C alkyl or alkenyl group, or the like; and R3 is 6-18C aryl, 4- to 6-membered heterocyclic or 1-13C hydroxyalkyl group, or the like; Ma is Si, C, Ce, or the like; A is O, S, or the like; each of (x) and (y) is an integer of 0 to 2; and (z) is 1 or 2); (B) compounds represented by the formula II (wherein: Mb is Li, Na, or the like; (z) is 0 or 1; and (w) is 1 or 2); (C) compounds represented by the formula III (wherein each of (x) and (y) is an integer of 0 to 3); and (D) mixtures of plural compounds of the compounds A to C, to perform catalytic alkylation of the chlorosilane.
