Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a catalytic apparatus, by which a holding mat wound around the outer periphery of a monolithic catalyst-deposited carrier is not hindered from being expanded uniformly when the holding mat is housed in a casing and the workability when the catalytic apparatus is manufactured can be improved.
The catalytic apparatus is constituted so that the monolithic catalyst-deposited carrier 3 around the outer periphery of which the holding mat 2 is wound is housed/held in the casing 1 and the holding mat 2 is tacked temporarily by a ribbon-like temporarily tacking material 4 formed from a material which does never become sticky.
