Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the falling of a catalyst by adding an inorg. binder as a catalyst fixing agent to a system consisting of the catalyst and ceramic fibers and increasing the catalyst retaining power of the fibers with the binder.
CONSTITUTION: A catalyst 2 having oxidation action is retained by ceramic fibers 3 and fixed by a fixing agent 1. A silicon oxide or aluminum oxide sol or a metal phosphate is used as the fixing agent 1. The falling of the catalyst is prevented and the resulting catalytic body is made widely applicable.
