Title:
CATALYTIC COMBUSTION APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007057110
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a catalytic combustion apparatus enhancing energy efficiency by carrying out compactification by integrating a heat exchanger, a heating part, and a catalyst, and shortening a startup of a catalytic reaction by applying an alumite catalyst.

In the catalytic combustion apparatus, a plurality of pipes containing aluminum, each having one part in a longitudinal direction subjected to alumite processing, and supporting a catalyst, are arranged in parallel with each other in a hollow cylinder with both ends closed and comprising a catalytic reaction zone and a heat exchange zone. One part of a continuous band like catalyst support which is energized is arranged so as to contact at least one part of a surface of each pipe in the catalytic reaction zone. The apparatus is provided with a baffle plate, a processing object gas inlet, and a processed gas outlet.
