To provide a catalytic combustion reactor with a structure for minimizing radiation loss to the outside when carrying out catalytic combustion reaction and recovering combustion heat energy generated at that time, minimizing a portion in which a fluid subjected to the combustion reaction contacts a reactor outer surface after the combustion reaction, and minimizing an amount of a high-grade heat resistant or heat and corrosive resistant material to be used, and also to provide a catalytic structure.
In the catalytic combustion reactor, a heat exchanger part including a tube bundle having tube plates on both ends of a heat transfer tube, and a catalytic structure part including a catalytic structure having openings to be used as an inflow plane for the fluid to be subjected to the combustion reaction and an outflow plane for the fluid after the combustion reaction are integrated by a casing. The catalytic combustion reactor has a structure where the tube bundle and the catalytic structure are connected at one tube plate of the tube bundle and one opening of the catalytic structure in a conjunction of a reactor interior, and has a structure where a communication passage between the heat exchanger part and the other opening of the catalytic structure part is secured in a shape of the casing surrounding the tube bundle and a circumference of the catalytic structure.
