Abstract:
Gas oil 1 is hydroprocessed at 4 to remove sulphur and/or nitrogen and then subjected to catalytic cracking at 10 under conditions which produce at least 0.15 wt percent of hydrogen in the cracked product 11, this hydrogen produced, is used in the hydroprocessing. The cracking catalyst comprises a faujasite-type zeolite exchanged with silver, copper, nickel or manganese.
