Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the yield of dewaxed oil and to increase the octane number of by-produced naphtha fraction, by containing a basic nitrogen-contaiing compound to a specific zeolite catalyst before or immediately before feeding a hydrocarbon fraction to the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A zeolite exhibiting the X-ray diffraction pattern of table 1 is used as an active component of a catalyst. The catalyst is made to contact with a basic nitrogen-containing compound (preferably 2-10C saturated alkyl primary amine, >=10C monophenylamine, heterocyclic compound such as quinoline, pyridine, naphthoquinoline, etc.) before or immediately before supplying a hydrocarbon fraction to the catalyst. The catalystic dewaxing of the hydrocarbon fraction is carried out by the use of the catalyst.
