Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a catalytic member to maintain its excellent activity even after a long time of its use, as a catalytic member to be used for cleaning and deodorizing a combustion and an exhaust gas.
SOLUTION: This catalytic member is composed of a carrier base 1, a first catalyst layer 2 based on zirconium bearing a noble metal, formed on the surface of the carrier base 1, an intermediate layer 4 based on a metal oxide not bearing the noble metal, formed on the surface of the first catalyst layer 2 as a part becoming relatively cold during the use of the member, and a second catalyst layer 3 based on an active alumina bearing the noble metal, formed on the surface of the intermediate layer 4.
