Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a catalyst within a suitable temperature range by heating or cooling a catalyst carrier directly. SOLUTION: The conductive plates 11 and the catalyst carriers 9A supporting a catalyst are stacked alternately and arranged between the left and right side walls 1a and 1b of a chamber 1 of a reactor. The medium flowing tubes 3 which are set in the flowing direction of the reacting fluid 4 at regular intervals are put through and along the direction of the stack of the plates 11 and the carriers 9A and jointed to the plates 11. The temperature is controlled by temperature adjustment medium 5 flowing in the tube 3 and the carrier 9A cooled directly by the tube 3 and the plate 11.
