Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve riding comfort and sea worthiness by obtaining speed and orientation from hull position data detected by a device for measuring a position in a wide region to correct an angle and angular speed of roll detected by an inertia sensor gyroscope and driving left and right auxiliary blades provided on a hydrofoil for roll control.
CONSTITUTION: Hydrofoils 3, 4 are provided on left and right ends respectively with auxiliary blades 5, 6 driven independently of each other. Also, an inertia sensor or gyroscope 13 for detecting an angle and angular speed of roll of a gull 1 is provided in the center of rolling of the hull. A device 12 for measuring a position of the hull in a wide region is provided to input the position measuring data to a controller 14 for rock control. The controller 14 calculates the speed and orientation of the hull 1 on the basis of measured position data to correct the angle and angular speed data of roll detected by the inertia sensor or gyroscope 13. The respective auxiliary blades 5, 6 are separately driven according to the corrected result for roll control.
