Abstract:
To provide a catenary wire protection cover which is constituted of an integrally-moldable single body, can reduce a manufacturing cost, and is easy in attachment work.SOLUTION: A catenary wire protection cover 1 is constituted which is interposed between a support metal fixture for suspending and supporting a trolley wire cabled at an upper part of a train track to a catenary wire M, and the catenary wire M, and prohibits mutual contact. The catenary wire protection cover 1 comprises: an elastic synthetic resin-made main body 2 which is formed into a cylindrical shape so as to surround the catenary wire M, is opened in an axial direction at both end edges, penetrates internally and externally, and has a spiral introduction groove 4 which is elastically and expansively deformed so as to accept the catenary wire M; and flange parts 3 which extend to the outside in a radial direction from both end parts of the main body 2, and constrain the support metal fixture in an axial direction between the flanges. The main body 2 comprises three threads of elongation/contraction grooves 5, 6 and 7 which are formed in parallel with the introduction groove 4, and expedite an elastic deformation of the introduction groove 4. The catenary wire M is inserted into the main body 2 through the introduction groove 4 while making the main body 2 rotate around the catenary wire M.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
