To obtain a catering service system in which dishes can be arranged without taking time after delivery and only dishes requiring heating can be heated selectively and easily.
Trays mounting individual dishes cooked on the order from a catering place are contained individually in a delivery wagon 6 which is then delivered to the catering place while being cooled by a refrigerating/ freezing truck 5 for delivery. At the catering place, the trays are taken out from the delivery wagon 6 and contained individually in sectioned chambers of a cooking wagon 7 which is placed in a refrigerator until the catering time. At the catering time, the dishes are cooked by means of a heater provided in the cooking wagon 7 before being arranged. The heater comprises induction heating coils disposed in respective sectioned chambers of the cooking wagon and the dishes can be heated or not heated selectively by employing dishing plates having and not having a metallic body on the bottom selectively.
