Abstract:
To provide a caterpillar band type travelling body which can travel with a stable attitude even on such an off-road that there are many undulations and ground conditions change.SOLUTION: A caterpillar band type travelling body 100a has: a caterpillar band 18a; a starter wheel 12a with a built-in in-wheel motor 13a which gives driving force to the caterpillar band 18a; two trank rollers 14a, 14b; a supporter 28 which supports the starter wheel 12a and the trank rollers 14a, 14b; two travelling units 30a, 30b in which the caterpillar band 18a is wound between the starter wheel 12a located above and the trank rollers 14a, 14b located below; a main body 10 which supports the two travelling units 30a, 30b via the supporter 28 in a travelling possible state at a lower position with respect to a rotation axis of the starter wheel 12a; and suspension parts 20a, 20b for suspending the supporter 28 on the main body 10, and located with a distance therebetween in a cross direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
