Abstract:
To provide a catheter apparatus which can exchange heat by using a body fluid on site for modifying a temperature at a target region in a body, and a system including the catheter apparatus.
The catheter apparatus 420 comprises a spindly flexible catheter, at least one fluid lumen, a heat exchange instrument 440 located on the catheter, and a body fluid-inducing sleeve 422 formed around a segment of the catheter. The catheter apparatus can modify the temperature at the target region in the body by using the body fluid on site.
