Abstract:
To provide an over-molded coaxial or dual lumen catheter having safety and high reliability.SOLUTION: The catheter comprises: a connector 8 having a guide wire channel 12 and an inflation channel 16; and a shaft 20 extending from a proximal end 24 to a distal end and having a guide wire lumen 32 and an inflation lumen 36. The shaft is connected to the connector at its proximal end, and the guide wire lumen and the inflation lumen respectively, are mechanically and fluidically connected to the guide wire channel and the inflation channel. The connection is realized in correspondence with a kink portion. The catheter includes a protective sheath 52 disposed around an outer wall 56 of the shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
