A catheter device includes a catheter 2, having at least one lumen 22 which extends its overall length and having a first threaded part 23 on a portion of the lumen 22, and a guide wire 3 passed through the lumen 22 and having a second threaded part 37 on at least a portion of its outer surface. With the first and second threaded parts 23, 37 engaged with each other, one of the catheter 2 and the guide wire 3 is fixed while the other is rotated, thus allowing the engagement to progress, and causing the catheter 2 to advance or retreat relative to the guide wire 3.
