Abstract:

To obtain excellent display quality (visibility) by enhancing color purity by enhancing a contrast ratio without lowering luminance of a picture element, in a cathode base forming a field emission type display.

This emission type display is structured by disposing face to face the cathode base formed by arranging cold cathodes and an anode base formed by arranging anode electrodes and phosphor layers. In this case, it is equipped with coloring matter layers 16 (16R, 16G, 16B) at least arranged with regularity as the cathode base, a cathode electrode 11 and the cold cathode 13.
