Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode for production of an aluminum foil and a production method of aluminum foil which is expected to improve productivity and to allow continuous production by an electrodeposition method.SOLUTION: There is provided a cathode for forming an aluminum foil by peeling an aluminum foil electrodeposited on an electrodeposition area of an outer periphery of a drum member, wherein a pair of pieces of insulating means intended to constitute the electrodeposition area along an axial direction on both side of the drum member includes a first outer peripheral surface constituting a ring shape, an insulated first ring shaped member having a first inner peripheral surface, a second outer peripheral surface constituting a ring shape, and an insulated second ring shaped member having a second inner peripheral surface, wherein the first inner peripheral surface of the first ring shaped member is constituted to be closely joinable to the outer periphery of a drum member, wherein the second inner peripheral surface of the second ring shaped member is constituted to be closely joinable to the first outer periphery of the first ring shaped member, and wherein the second ring shaped member is designed to have a thermal expansion coefficient smaller than that of the first ring shaped member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
