Abstract:

PURPOSE: To apply gamma correction to a cathode ray tube without giving distortion to a frequency response characteristic of an amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: A driver is made up of a current source 70 that supplies an output current proportional to a video input signal to a circuit connecting point 60, a 1st resistor 65 connected between the circuit connecting point 60 and the current source 70 to produce an amplified video output signal, a 2nd resistor 85 that is connected between the circuit connecting point 60 and a cathode electrode K1 of a cathode ray tube and through which the amplified video output signal is fed to the cathode electrode K1, and a capacitor 100 whose 1st electrode is connected to a cathode electrode and whose 2nd electrode is connected to the circuit connecting point 60 via a buffer amplifier 90.
