Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner magnetic shield material for a TV cathode ray tube, which has excellent pressing property, corrosion resistance and spot weldability and in which a coating film is completely burned and decomposed in a cathode ray tube sealing step to deposit the corrosion-resistant film similar to a blacked film without generating any hematite (red rust).
SOLUTION: A film of an organic resin consisting of, substantially, C and H, or C, H and O, or C, H, O and N of the thickness of 0.1-6 μm is deposited on a surface of a cold-rolled steel strip or a pickled hot-rolled steel strip of the surface roughness of 0.2-3 μm Ra. This organic resin film contains a wax dispersed in the film. The ratio (&phiv /T) of the wax grain size &phiv to the thickness T of the organic resin film is 0.5-5. The wax content is determined so that the area ratio of the wax is 2-20% when the film surface is observed by an electron microscope.
