Abstract:
To provide a cathode ray tube having improved safety and sufficient AEF preventing function by giving satisfactory insulation between a conductive layer on the outer face of a funnel and a deflection yoke.
The cathode ray tube has a conductive film 9 of graphite or the like formed in a region encircled by a deflection yoke 8 on the outer surface of the funnel 2. An insulating film 10 containing one or two or more types of insulating metal oxide selected from TiO2, Al2O3 and PZT based ceramic and one or two or more types of thermosetting resin selected from a melamine resin, a phenol resin, an epoxy resin and a urethane resin is further formed on the conductive film 9.
