To provide a cathode-ray tube capable of providing a suitable white display in a short time from power-on.
An electron gun structure 17 emitting 3 electron beams arranged in the in-line direction toward a phosphor screen has 3 cathodes K (R, G, B) arranged in the in-line direction, 3 first grids G1 (R, G, B) placed opposite to each cathode, and an integral-type second grid placed opposite to the first grids in the phosphor screen side. The first grids are each composed of a cupped electrode body 30 having an electron beam passing hole. The electron gun structure 17 further has an insulating member 33 to which each of the three first grids penetrates for integrally holding them insulatingly, a tube body 32 surrounding the insulating member 33 and having an implanting portion 32B, and a pair of insulating bases 27 for supporting the implanting portion 32B of the tube body 32.
