Title:
CATHODIC ELECTROCLEANING SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5871400
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the electrodeposition of Fe ions on a metallic material to be treated by adding a reaction product prepared by quaternizing an aliphatic amine, imidazole or a deriv. thereof with epihalohydrin to a cathodic electrocleaning soln. for the metallic material contg. an alkaline agent and a complexing agent. CONSTITUTION:When a metallic material is electrocleaned as a cathode with an electrocleaning soln. contg. >=10g/l of 1 or >=2 kinds of inorg. alkali salts such as alkali hydroxide, silicate and carbonate and >=1g/l complexing agent such as triethanolamine or triisopropanolamine, Fe ions introduced into the electrolytic soln. from the iron of an anode electrodeposit on the metallic material and cause the defective adhesion of a plated film during Zn or Ni plating. To prevent the electrodeposition of Fe >=0.01g/l reaction product prepared by quanternizing an aliphatic amine such as methylamine, imidazole or a deriv. thereof with epihalohydrin is added to the soln.
