Abstract:

To provide a cation-modified polyuronic acid or its salt having an excellent feeling improvement effect and a production method thereof, and a feeling improving agent achieving both maintaining the smoothness upon rinsing and the improvement of body of hair after dry when applied for hair cosmetics.

There are provided [1] the cation-modified polyuronic acid or its salt having a structure in which a cationic group is introduced to a polyuronic acid, [2] the feeling improving agent having the cation-modified polyuronic acid or its salt as an active ingredient, and [3] the method for producing the cation-modified polyuronic acid or its salt including reacting a cellulose with a cationizing agent after oxidization, or oxidizing a cellulose after reaction with the cationizing agent.
