Abstract:

To obtain an ink-jet composition that includes a cationic yellow dye bright, soluble in water, and stable to light and is useful in ink-jet printing with a water-based ink.

This ink-jetting ink composition comprises (A) water, (B) a moisturizer, and (C) a cationic azo dye derived from a pyrazole azo indole dye. As the component C, may be cited a compound represented by the formula [R3, R4 are each a 1-6C (substituted) alkyl; a (substituted) allyl, a 6-10C (substituted) aryl or the like; R1 is H, R3; R2, Y, Z are each R1, a halogen, nitro, cyano, a (substituted) 1-6C alkoxy or the like; any two of Y or Z may be incorporated to form a 5-7-membered (saturated) heterocyclic or carbon homocyclic condensed ring; R1 and R2, R3 and R4, R1 and Y, R4 and Z bond to form a 5-7-membered heterocyclic or carbon homocyclic ring; m is 0-4; n is 0-2; X- is an anion].
