Abstract:

To obtain a cationic surfactant composition having a low viscosity when melted by heating the composition to complete the reaction, and having the ester group of OCOR5 in the molecule.

This cationic surfactant composition contains (A) a triester cation-type quarternary ammonium salt having OCOR5 group (R5 is a 7-23C alkyl and/or alkenyl group) in the molecule, and (B) a quarternary ammonium salt obtained by quaternizing a trialkanolamine with a dialkyl sulfate in a weight ratio of the components (A)/(B) regulated so as to be (8/100)-(1/1) by weight.
