To prevent deterioration of a system even if the emergency situation in a disaster and the like occurs by collectively supplying power to plural nodes connected to the center station of CATV through an optical fiber transmission line.
The center station 10 supplies AC 100 V to respective systems, namely, a CATV head end unit part, ant optical transmission part and a power supply system part, for example. A non-power cut device collectively supplies power by a commercial power source and collectively supplies power by the backup power of self-power generation at the time of power cut owing to the disaster. A branch part 30 branches one power cable into two power cables and connects the respective optical nodes in a loop form. The respective optical nodes are arranged in respective refuges at the time of the disaster one by one. Then, optical communication with the center station 10 is realized by collective power supply. The branch part 30 controls the change-over of a switch in accordance with the instruction of the center station 10 and supplies power clockwise and anticlockwise from the center station 10 into the self-device and the respective optical nodes.
