Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent cavitation in a fuel injection pump for diesel engine, and prevent a plunger from erosion caused by the cavitation.
CONSTITUTION: For a fuel injection pump for diesel engine, which consists of a barrel 1 and a plunger 2 fitted in the barrel, a cavitation preventing mechanism in the fuel injection pump for diesel engine, which is formed so as to penetrate through cavity breaking holes 11 from the plunger side upper part in a fuel discharge hole 4 up to the outside of the outer wall of the barrel upper part, and a method of preventing the plunger for diesel engine from erosion caused by the action of the cavitation preventing mechanism, are provided.
