PURPOSE: To obtain a CD driving device capable of protecting the face of the lens of an optical pick-up in a CD driving device whose lid is opened and closed with a hinge.

CONSTITUTION: An opening part 7 for the movement of an optical pick-up 3 is arranged in a direction from a disk driving part 2 being in the center of the device to a CD lid hinging part 6 and at right angle with the CD lid hinging part 6. Then, when a CD lid 5 is open, users are prevented from touching carelessly to the optical pick-up 3 by moving the optical pick-up 3 to the side of the CD lid hinging part 6.
