Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CDMA portable phone 10 that can suppress the power consumption due to cell search while ensuring quick standby processing in the case of in-zone restoration.
SOLUTION: When the CDMA portable phone 10 moves from an in-zone area to the outside of the zone, the decreasing speed of the received electric field strength in the CDMA portable phone 10 within a prescribed time including a shift time is checked. When the decreasing speed of the received electric field strength is rapid, it is discriminated that the CDMA portable phone 10 moves from the inside zone to the outside of the zone without any cell movement, the cell searching is stopped for the out-zone period and the CDMA portable phone 10 returns to the inside zone while keeping the standby processing on the basis of the initial synchronization before the shift to the out-zone and a long code.
