Title:
CDMA RECEIVER AND ITS PATH ASSIGNMENT METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3680736
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CDMA receiver that changes required reception quality depending on a data type of a received signal, properly controls number of fingers assigned to the received signal of each data type, and can reduce the power consumption without the need for activating unnecessary fingers.
SOLUTION: The CDMA receiver is provided with a detection section that detects a path for a received reception signal, an assignment section that assigns the received signal by each path detected by the detection section to each finger, a synthesis section that synthesizes demodulation results of the received signals by each path outputted from each finger, a channel decoding section that decodes the synthesis result of the received signals by the synthesis section, a data type discrimination section that discriminates a data type of the received signal on the basis of the decoding result of the received signal decoded and obtained by the channel decoding section, and a signal quality discrimination section that obtains the reception quality of the received signal on the basis of the synthesis result and the decoding result of the received signal, compares the received quality with a criterion of the received quality on the basis of the data type and instructs assignment of a finger by the assignment section on the basis of the obtained comparison result.
