PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling embedded type humidifier in which a fixing and a removal of a humidifying source in respect to its main body part can be carried out easily and quickly and the main body part can be made compact in size as much as possible.SOLUTION: A ceiling embedded type humidifier of this invention comprises a main body part 5 arranged at a ceiling; a humidifying source 6 that can be freely attached to or removed from the main body part 5; a stopper 20 arranged at the humidifying source 6; a humidifying source insertion part 18 formed at the main body part 5 where the humidifying source 6 is inserted from a lower part to an upper part; a latch 21 pushed away by the stopper 20 from a locked position toward a releasing position and engaged with the stopper 20 through insertion of the humidifying source 6 into the humidifying source insertion part 18; an operation part 26 for operating the latch 21 toward the releasing position; a catcher 25 cooperated with the operation of the operation part 26 to advance from the retracted position toward the receiving position; and a spring 27 for always biasing the catcher 25 toward the retracting position and always biasing the latch 21 toward the locked position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
