To obtain a ceiling flush type air conditioner comprising a fan and a heat exchanger arranged in the wind path in a cabinet in which generated dews can be collected surely while reducing heat loss by securing a baffle plate for partitioning the primary air on the air inlet side of a cabinet and the secondary air on the air outlet side to a front plate on the air outlet side.
Primary air sucked from an air inlet 1a of a cabinet 1 is subjected to heat exchange through a heat exchanger 3 and blown out as air conditioned air (secondary air) from an air outlet 1b. Dews formed in the heat exchanger 3 drop to be stored in a drain pan 4. Dews may be formed if a temperature difference exist between the secondary air and the air in the ceiling on the outside of the cabinet 1. A primary air layer having heat insulating function is thereby formed by disposing a baffle plate 5 between the secondary air and the air in the ceiling on the outside of the a side plate 1d. Consequently, dews are formed by temperature difference not on the outer shell of the cabinet 1 but on the outside of the baffle plate 5 and collected in the drain pan 4.
