The inking instrument comprises an ink pad 1, a holder 2, a string puller 3, and a ceiling fixing pin member 4 wherein the ink pad has means for winding an ink string 1f from the take-out forward end 1e and containing the wound ink string 1f, and the holder secures a supporting member 1b at a lower part of the ink pad to a fixing part 2d provided at the end of a telescopic part 2b having a retractable tubular grip 2a. The string puller secures the end of a pull string 3e to a ring 3f passing the ink string and is secured to the holder such that the other end of the pull string can be pulled in the vicinity of the grip. The ceiling fixing pin member is provided with a central fixing pin 4b in the center of a sectoral disc type base 4a, arranged with a plurality of auxiliary fixing pins 4c on the periphery and bonded with the ends of the ink string and a removing cord member 4 to the central part of the base.
