A ceiling joist fixing clip 1 for fixing a ceiling joist 90 in a lipped groove shape and arranged with its groove opening up below a ceiling joist receiver 80 includes a ceiling joist connection part 10 connected to the ceiling joist 90, and a ceiling joist receiver connection part 50 formed integrally with the ceiling joist connection part 10 and connected to the ceiling joist receiver 80. The ceiling joist connection part 10 includes lock means 11 constituted by providing a lock plate part 13 supporting lip parts 93 of the ceiling joist 90 from below to both width-directional ends of a narrow plate part 12 narrower than the groove opening width of the ceiling joist 90, and cover means 31 constituted by providing a hanging-down plate part 33 covering a side face part 92 of the ceiling joist 90 to a wide plate part 32 which is integrated with the narrow plate part 12 and as wide as the ceiling joist 90 on the same plane.
