To provide a ceiling material for a bathroom, which can be easily connected by screwing etc. because it can be kept in a joined state even before being fixed by means of a screw during assembly, and which can maintain a high degree of airtightness by packing.
This ceiling material for the bathroom is constituted by combining a pair of ceiling materials together. A joint end 3 overhanging in a jointing direction is provided in one ceiling material 1 so that the pair of ceiling materials can be joined together in a superposed manner. The joint end 3 is provided with a swelling portion 5 with an inclined plane 4a which is inclined in the jointing direction, and the other ceiling material 2 is provided with a recess 6 corresponding to the swelling portion 5. The swelling portion 5 and the recess 6 are screwed together in such a manner as to be fitted together. Thus, the one ceiling material 1 and the other ceiling material 2 get closer to each other in the jointing direction along the inclined plane 4a, and the packing 7, which is arranged between the one ceiling material 1 and the other ceiling material 2, is brought into close contact with and fixed to a section between them.
