Abstract:

To provide a cell adsorbent that strongly attaches or adsorbs various cells, a cell culture substrate, a method for producing the same, a cell passage method, and a cell proliferation method.

The cell culture substrate includes a cell adsorbent composed of at least one kind selected from animal-derived fibrous or filmy natural organic polymers chemically modified and processed or graft processed. The cell culture substrate is produced by immersing the natural organic polymer in a graft processing liquid comprising a surfactant aqueous solution and a monomer containing fluorine, an aqueous solution containing a phosphoric monoester, methacrylamide and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate or an organic solvent solution of a dibasic acid anhydride or epoxy compound and performing graft processing or chemical modification processing in the presence of a polymerization initiator. Cells are passaged using the cell culture substrate in an undifferentiated state in a proliferative environment and the cells are proliferated in a proliferative environment.
