Abstract:

To provide cryopreservation liquid that can be transported for a long period of time at cooling temperature of -80°C or higher without using serum, has low cytotoxicity, is available for cryopreservation of a cell aggregate, and a simple and highly efficient cryopreservation method of cells.SOLUTION: A cell cryopreservation agent contains a bipolar compound and low molecular solvent, but does not contain a natural animal-derived component, and has the osmotic pressure of 500 to 2500 mOsm/kg. Further, the cell cryopreservation agent in which the amount of unfreezable water measured in aqueous solution where the concentration of the bipolar compound is 0.1 to 30.0w/v% is 200 mg or more per 1 g of the bipolar compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
