Title:
CELL FOR MEASURING MOVING VALUE/ELECTRIC CHARGE AND MOBILITY OF CHARGED PARTICLE IN LIQUID AND LIQUID DEVELOPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3914702
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell for measurement which enables measuring or the moving value/electric charge and mobility of charged particles comprising a highly dense coloring agent.
SOLUTION: A quartz oscillator is applied to enable measuring of the moving condition of charged particles simultaneously from changes in current and mass. A QCM mass sensor 1 and a QCM controller are used. A measuring sample 7 of a liquid with the charged particles dispersed therein is introduced to a cell to fill between electrodes 3 and 8 and a high voltage with an arbitrary waveform is applied from a high voltage oscillator 4 to generate an AC electric field between the electrodes 3 and 8. This accomplishes simultaneous measurement of a current value at which the charged particles in the cell flow into the electrodes 3 and 8 and dependence on time of changes in mass attributed to variations in vibration on the surfaces of the electrodes. Correction is made using the result to distinguish a current value due to the actual movement of the charged particles from an energized electric charge and a value of current flowing through a bulk resistance thereby obtaining a measured value of electric charge Q with a higher accuracy.
