Abstract:
To provide a cell proliferating agent capable of efficiently proliferating various kinds of cells such as a mesenchymal stem cell in vitro or the like; and to provide a method for proliferating the cells by using the cell proliferating agent, very important also in a view point of prevention of postoperative infection in tissue transplantation in actual clinic application.
The mesenchymal stem cell is proliferated in the presence of a designed antibacterial peptide such as the antibacterial peptide derived from a natural product such as a signal peptide of a mitochondrion, histatin-5, and bovine or human lactoferrcin. A cell growth factor such as a basic fibroblast growth factor can coexist therewith.
