To provide a cell state detecting method of higher degree of freedom that can measure also physical quantity showing the state of other secondary batteries in addition to a cell voltage detecting method having a small number of wiring processes by simplifying the wiring.
A plurality of cell state detecting sections and one state measuring section are installed in a mutually separating state, the cell state detecting sections create a detection timing signal used for the next cell state detection after detecting operation, and outputs the detection timing signal to the next cell state detecting section for operating the cell state detecting operation. Thus, the number of long signal wires decreases sharply, and the number of wiring processes can be reduced. The physical quantity can be converted into a pulse signal by a sensor and voltage-pulse signal insulation converting circuit of the cell state detecting element, so that physical quantities showing the state of the secondary battery such as cell current, cell temperature, and cell pressure in addition to the cell voltage can be detected.
