Abstract:

To prepare and burn a catalyst precursor in a same place and to simplify the laborious transfer operation of substances by forming a cell for the synthesis of a catalyst from an upper part cylinder which houses catalyst raw materials, a lower part cylinder which is connected with the bottom part of the upper part cylinder and houses a synthetic catalyst, and a gas passage pipe connected with the bottom part of the lower part cylinder.

A cell 1 for the synthesis of a catalyst is formed from an upper part cylinder 11 which houses catalyst raw materials, a lower part cylinder 13 which is connected with the bottom part of the cylinder 11 and houses a synthetic catalyst, and a gas passage pipe 12 connected with the bottom part of the cylinder 13. In the production of the catalyst, a catalyst precursor preparing process in which a catalyst raw material solution or slurry is housed in the cylinder 11 and concentrated/dried or filtered and a catalyst burning process in which the precursor is burned while gas is supplied/discharged to/from the pipe 12 are implemented. In this process, when the space height of the catalyst in the cylinder 13 is T, and the diameter of the cylinder 13 is d2, the catalyst is produced to make T/d greater than 1 to evaluate the performance of the catalyst correctly.
