Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a temperature difference between cells in a simple construction.
SOLUTION: A cell holder 2 has a honeycomb construction and a slender shape cell module 10 is held in respective cell holding chambers 8. Spaces with inner walls of the cell holding chambers 8 and the cell modules 10 are adapted to be main passages A. Spaces in double construction vertical partitions 16 are adapted to be bypass passages. The temperature of cooling air passing through the main passage A rises due to heat exchange with the cell. But, as the air before the heat exchange is supplied to a downstream side cell from the bypass passage B, the cell temperature becomes even. As the cell holding chamber, the main passage and the bypass passage are integrally formed in the honeycomb construction, the structure is simple and assembling is easy and high in strength.
