Abstract:

To improve a transmission rate near the cell boundary.

This base station is provided with a time slot preparing unit for preparing a time slot to be transmitted to a radio terminal, a selecting unit for selecting the modulation system and encoding method of the time slot prepared by the time slot preparing unit, a signal processing unit for modulating and encoding the time slot prepared by the time slot preparing unit by the modulation system and the encoding method selected by the selecting unit, an amplifying unit for amplifying the time slot modulated and encoded by the signal processing unit, a control unit for controlling the amplifying unit to amplify the transmission power of the prescribed priority slot among the plural time slots to that larger than that of the non-priority slot, and an antenna unit for transmitting the time slot amplified by the amplifying unit.
