Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acetate that can give an optical film having bright spot foreign matters as few as possible, with excellent production efficiency, even when a cellulose with a low content of hemicellulose components and high crystallinity is used as the raw material.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a cellulose acetate in which, in the sum of the mole contents of a xylose unit, a mannose unit and a glucose unit which are carbohydrate chain components, the ratio of the mannose unit is 0.04 mol% or less, and a specific filtration constant is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
