Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable cellulose acetate soln. in an org. solvent other than a halohydrocarbon.
SOLUTION: This soln. comprises cellulose acetate having an average degree of acetylation of 58.0-62.5% and an org. solvent which does not substantially contain a halohydrocarbon and comprises acetone and a solvent selected from among a 3-12C ether, a 4-12C ketone, a 3-12C ester. and a 1-6C alcohol.
