Abstract:
To provide a cellulose acylate film controlled in optical anisotropy and moisture absorbability and capable of being directly laminated to a polarizing plate.
The cellulose acylate film is characterized in that its X-ray diffraction intensity satisfies all of the formula (I). 0.40≤Ic2/(Iam2+Ic2)≤0.75, the formula (II): Iam2=I1+ä(I3-I1)/(2θ3-2θ1)×(2θ2-2θ1)} and the formula (III): Ic2=I2-Iam2and the half value width in 2θ2is set to 3-7°. In the formulae (I)-(III), 2θ1shows 2θ becoming minimum in intensity between 4 and 5°, 2θ2shows 2θ becoming maximum in intensity between 5 and 10° and 2θ3shows 2θ becoming minimum in intensity between 14 and 16°, wherein, θ is a Bragg angle. Further, I1shows diffraction intensity in 2θ1, I2shows diffraction intensity in 2θ1, I2shows diffraction intensity in 2θ2and I3shows diffraction intensity in 2θ3.
