To provide a composition consisting of a lignophenol derivative obtained from a lignocellulose material and a cellulose derivative.

The cellulose composition consists of (1) a cellulose derivative and (2) at least one kind of lignocellulose derivatives selected from a lignophenol derivative prepared with a hydrocarbon by adding a phenol to a lignocellelose and subsequently adding an acid to the reaction mixture, an alkaline-treated derivative of the above lignophenol derivative, and a derivative having a protected hydroxyl group of either the lignophenol derivative or the alkaline- treated derivative.
